The Life of Maryland Mellie Bair

Maryland Bair.
Maryland Bair was bom In Allen county, Indiana, August 5, 1864; died at Waverly, Kansas, February 28, 1896. She early in life joined the Methodist Episcopal church and after moving to Waverly connected herself with the Presbyterian church, remaining a faithful member until her death. She was one of those who reflected Christ in her life. To know her was to love her. She was a staunch and faithful friend, ready to lend a helping hand to those in adversity and gave freely of her loving sympathy to any who were in sorrow or bereavement. She was a girl of remarkable talent and great purity of character. Her faith in Christ was firm and steadfast. Our hearts are sorrowful and lonely without dearest Mellie, but our loss is her everlasting gain.
Her funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Elliot of Spring Hill, on Sabbath afternoon, the interment being in Olathe cemetery beside her be loved mother.
