Obituary for Raymond Butler

Funeral Mass for Raymond "Jimmy" Butler, 88, of Willowick, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the church.) Mr. Butler passed away Feb. 6, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family. Born July 15, 1925, in Salamanca, N.Y., he had lived in Willowick for the past 50 years. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and his animals. After his retirement, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, collecting buckeyes, gardening, and was an overall outdoorsman. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Butler had worked as an auto body repairman from the age of 18 until he was 67. Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Catherine (nee Ferari); children, Christopher (Cindi) Butler, Sandra (Gary) Deleandro, Stephen (Wendy) Butler and Kathleen (Richard) Tancredi; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three siblings. Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
