Obituary for Jacklyn Felice

HERMITAGE, PA. – Jacklyn Rita Felice, lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, in her daughter’s residence surrounded by family. She was 73.

Mrs. Felice was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Youngstown, a daughter of Jack and Florence Henry Acri.

She was a 1958 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Following high school, she went on to attend Baldwin Wallace College in Berea.

Jackie retired in 2009 from Winner International, where she was employed as a credit manager in the credit department.

She moved to Hermitage 20 years ago, after residing in Youngstown most of her adult life.

Jackie was of the Catholic faith. She had a tender heart and was known for offering emotional support to friends and family when the need arose.

She was an avid reader, a little bit of a history buff, and enjoyed bowling, skiing, playing cards and watching old classic movies. She will be sadly missed.

She leaves behind a daughter, with whom she made her home for the past five months, Judy and her husband, David Pringle of West Middlesex, Pa.; a son, Jeffrey and his wife, Debbie Felice of Land “O” Lakes, Fla.; two sisters, Peggy Griffin of St. Peters, Mo., and Cathy and her husband, Cliff Lewis of Powell; four grandchildren, Jack and Emma Pringle and Jennifer and Michael Felice; 11 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Griffin.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Celtic Home Health and Hospice of Lawrence County, especially Carolyn, Mike, Mary, Tanya, Alycia, Holly, Cathy and Reverend Matt for their outstanding concern and care that they provided to Jackie.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 1090 E. State, St. Sharon, PA 16146. There will also be calling hours a half hour prior to the service on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at the Good Shepherd Church, 3613 Sharon-New Castle Road, West Middlesex, PA 16159.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Church with Msgr. Robert Malene, pastor, celebrant. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.

Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
