Obituary for JESSE BERNARD LOWDEN
Jesse B. Lowden, 82, died Friday, December 27, 2013 at Courtyard Estates in Bondurant. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home. Interment will take place Monday at Highland Memory Gardens.
Jesse was born August 25, 1931 to Roscoe and Mary (Gardner) Lowden in Marne, Iowa. He was a High School graduate and a Korean War Army Veteran. On March 31, 1956 Jesse married Dora Jean Gill. The couple made their home in Des Moines where Jesse worked for Iowa Paint for 37 years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, going to flea markets and craft shows. Jesse loved karaoke and had a great time performing at his last birthday party.
Survivors include his sister, Allegra Shediwy of Oskaloosa, IA and many nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his wife and his brother, D.L. Lowden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Courtyard Estates.
