IDA MAY SENICH

“Together Forever”

BOARDMAN – Ida May Senich, 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Assumption Village in North Lima.

Born June 17, 1924, in Youngstown, she grew up on the west side with her parents Clifford and Ida (Shears) Hughes.

Ida graduate from Chaney High School in 1944, she met and married her loving husband, Paul on June 17, 1944.

She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who loved baking and taking special care of her family.  After Paul’s retirement, they enjoyed staying at Myrtle Beach, S.C., walking on the beach, and looking for shark’s teeth. She enjoyed bingo and playing 500 bid with her card club.

She was a member of St. Anne’s Byzantine Church in Austintown, where she enjoyed working the festivals and making pierogis on Friday mornings.

She will be sadly missed by her three children, Sharryn A.  (Richard) Manley of Canfield, Paul M. (Kathleen) Senich of Boardman, and Janice L. (Michael) Drozda of Boardman; grandchildren Stephanie (Bryan) Remias, Natalie Manley, Richard Manley Jr., Carrie Viola, Todd (Julie) Manley, Nicole (Michael) Brugnoni, and Michael (Stacey) Drozda; and great-grandchildren Brianna, Cade, Rylee, Kyleigh, Olivia, Mia, and Zoey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul in June of 2002; brothers Clinton, Harold, and Elmer Hughes; and sisters Charlotte Gordon and Helen Holt.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at St. Anne Ukrainian Byzantine Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Youngstown, where services will be held at noon.

Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
