John A. Chrislip Obituary Condolences Gallery John A. Chrislip Obituary John A. Chrislip CUYAHOGA FALLS -- John A. Chrislip, 90, passed away October 16, 2016. He was born in Philippi, W. Va. to parents, John Howard and Stella Chrislip. John graduated from Fairview High School in 1944. He was a World War II veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army 31st Infantry Division and Gen. Douglas McArthur Forces in the liberation of the Philippines. John loved nature and animals especially his two cats. He loved being around his family especially his granddaughter, Crystal. Preceded in death by his wife, Catherine "Dolly"; he is survived by his children, John Albert II, Peggy Ann Chrislip and Cathy A. (Patrick) McGinnis; granddaughter, Crystal Ann McGinnis. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, 2613 Sackett Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44223. In lieu of other remembrances memorial may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH, 44087 or the Salvation Army, 150 Rothrock Rd., Akron, OH 44321.
