Obituary for Catheryn Pritchard

AUSTINTOWN – Catherine (Soltesz) Pritchard, 86, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, with her children and grandchildren at her side.

She was born in Leechburg, Pa. on May 21, 1927, to the late Godfrey and Rose (Bogdany) Soltesz and her family moved to Warren in 1932. Catherine was an Austintown resident of over 60 years.

Catherine was a 1945 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

She married the love of her life, Warren H. Pritchard, in 1946 and raised their five children.

Catherine also worked as a secretary for the first Lloyd School PTA. She was an active member and officer for the TRIAS Eastern Stars and a Michigan football fan. However, Catherine will be remembered most of all as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who would spend much of her time attending concerts, plays, ball games and taking care of and loving her family.

Left to mourn Catherine’s passing are her children, Karen Pritchard of Washington, D.C., Leslie (Jay) Taylor of Earleton, Fla., Patti Jo L’italien of Salem, Warren “Bo” Pritchard of Austintown and Pamela Price of Augusta, Ga.; her grandchildren, Melanie (Matt) Danus, Katie (Jon) Eisel, Joshua (Alison) Pritchard, Elizabeth and Rebecca Pritchard, Adam (Jessica) Price and Shane Price; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Isabelle Bean of Boardman; and many nieces and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Warren H. Pritchard; her parents, Godfrey and Rose Soltesz; and her brother, John Soltesz.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. at the Austintown Community Church.

Interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
