Frank J. McCarthy, 73, of Austintown passed away Sept. 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
He was born March 5, 1940 in Buffalo, NY, the son of James and Katherine McCarthy.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1958 to 1960.
He retired from General Motors as millwright with 30 years of service. He was a member of the AOH and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Frank loved to golf and was an avid Indians and Browns Fan. He loved to travel, play cards and go to the casinos.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Norma, whom he married Oct. 29, 1991, a daughter Kelli Walton, a son Jim McCarthy, seven brothers; Jim, Jerry, Bill, Mike, Terry, Tim, and Tom, five sisters; Marion, Betty Lou, Peggy, Kathy and Eileen. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Jamie, Bill, Julie, Hanna, Jimmy, Justin and Alicia and two beloved great grandchildren; Dominic and Daniel.
Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his step-son Jeff Mullins.
Friends will be received from 4:00pm-7:00pm, Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
A funeral mass will be held 10:00am, Tuesday Oct. 1, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, in Austintown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in Frank''s name.
