Obituary for LOIS ALBERTA WARD RINARD
Lois Alberta Ward Rinard, 92, went to heaven on August 8, 2013, at Mill Pond in Ankeny. Lois was born in Patterson, IA, and grew up around the Winterset area. She lived most of her life in Saylor Township. Lois worked for the Saydel School System as a Kitchen Manager for 36 years before retiring in 1987. She was a charter member of Bethany Reformed Church and a long-time member of T.O.P.S. She loved to travel and be with family.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Kris, and son-in-law Steve Howard; grandchildren, Trevor Howard and Mallory (A.J.) Smith; one great-grandchild, Nolan Smith; nieces, Mary Lynn (Mike) Harper and Judy (Jerry) Sharp; one nephew, William (Joyce) Chace; as well as several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Rinard.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday August 11, 2013, at Bethany Reformed Church, 720 NE 52nd Avenue, Des Moines. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2013, at the church.
