Obituary for Brittany Diane Mowry

BRITTANY DIANE MOWRY

AUSTINTOWN - There will be a funeral service held on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman for Brittany Diane Mowry, 20, who passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 3, 2013, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh after a courageous fight with Cystic Fibrosis.

Brittany will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her big smile and zest for life.

She was born Oct. 8, 1992, in Youngstown, the daughter of Sheri Mowry and was a lifelong area resident.

Brittany played track and field in Middle School, where she excelled in shot put and discus. Because of her illness, she was unable to continue to play and was a 2011 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.

Due to her illness, Brittany was not able to enjoy all the pleasures she would have liked too, but she never complained and looked forward to each awaiting day.

She enjoyed collecting giraffes, going to the Canfield Fair and especially socializing with all her friends. Brittany was a diehard New York Yankee’s fan.

She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories, her mother, Sheri (Dane) Carder of Canfield; two sisters, Breanna and Kaitlyn Carder; a brother, Adam Carder; a very special aunt, Kelly Mowry of Austintown, who helped raise her; her grandfather, Richard Mowry of Austintown, with whom she made her home; her beloved pet golden lab, Jeter; her best friend of over 15 years, Kayla Cramer; and her godson, Jorden Wolfe.

Brittany was preceded in death by her grandmother, Diana Mowry.
