Obituary for Constantine Sanders

AUSTINTOWN – A prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Mrs. Constantine “Connie” Sanders, 87, who died early Friday morning at her residence.

She was born July 28, 1925, in Youngstown a daughter of Samuel and Beatrice Joy Naples.

Connie was a charter member of the church, a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and loved gardening, baking bread and canning her own tomatoes and hot peppers, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

She was married to Alexander Sanders on Feb. 2, 1946, and he died Dec. 4, 2006.

Connie leaves her daughter, Mary (Philip) Mariotti of Canfield; three granddaughters, Tina Mariotti Tunno Of Austintown, Annette (Laurence) McLaughlin of Canfield and Nicole ( Mark) Smallwood of Canfield; six great-grandchildren, Dominic and Julia Tunno, Philip and Aubrie McLaughlin, Gabriella and Michael Smallwood; a sister, Mag Bisconti of Oregon; and a brother, Michael Naples of Austintown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alexander; and 14 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
