Obituary for Mary E. Moses
Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth (Akins) Moses, 86, of Kirtland, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Calvary Assembly of God, 28870 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills. Pastor David Welle will officiate.
Mrs. Moses died Monday, June 17, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
Mrs. Moses was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Covington, Ky. She resided for over 52 years in Kirtland, previously residing in Cleveland. She worked at General Electric (the Nela Park division), enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, enjoyed family get-togethers and belonged to several charitable organizations.
She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne; brother, Robert Akins; sister, Jennie Hinkle; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Berry Crowley "B.C." Moses, who passed away Dec. 20, 2012; parents, Virgil and Mattie (Witt) Akins; and brother, Fred Akins.
The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Mary Elizabeth from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at The Funeral Home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
