Obituary for Priscilla Baily

Priscilla F. (Findlay) Baily (1941 - 2013) Services for Priscilla F. (Findlay) Baily, 71, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013. The Rev. Zach Weihrauch of Gateway Heights Church will officiate. Mrs. Baily passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Lake Med Nursing and Rehab Center in Painesville Township. Born Aug. 15, 1941, in Steubenville, she had lived in Mentor for the past 50 years. She was a member of and Sunday School teacher at Faith Community Church in Mentor (formerly St. Paul Presbyterian Church) and was also a member of Order of the Rainbow for Girls, where she served as the past worthy adviser of the Steubenville Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star Willoughby Chapter 202, the Order of the Amaranth, and she also served as a past high priestess of Galilee White Shrine, Strauss Memorial Court in Willoughby. She was a graduate of Bethany College''s Class of 1963 in Bethany, W.Va., and was also a junior marksman in the National Rifle Association. She was a former Sunday School teacher in her teen years, and loved to read, bowl, dance (having won numerous dancing awards with her husband), create artificial floral arrangements, and she also enjoyed playing games, especially contract bridge where she had earned points towards a masters. Mrs. Baily taught elementary school in Lake County for several years, before becoming a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She was also an entrepreneur, selling Mary Kay cosmetics, Amway, World Book encyclopedias and Bestline. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul G. Baily; daughter, Linda Baily Puussaar of Shaker Heights; son, Paul David Baily of Concord Township; grandchildren, Samuel B. Puussaar and Elmiire ""Emmi"" Puussaar; and sister, Judy (Ray) Ford of Edmond, Okla. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families. Her parents, John C. and Sophia (Shepherd) Findlay; and brother, John David Findlay preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in the Masonic Garden at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
