Obituary for Kathleen Cioffi

KATHLEEN CICCHI CIOFFI CANFIELD – Kathleen Cicchi Cioffi, 70, passed away peacefully at her Canfield home. She was born and raised in Youngstown and she resided in the area for most of her life. She was an East High School graduate and completed her undergraduate degree at Youngstown University, commencing to teach for 40 wonderful years. Her professional work included a short employment in social work as a home-school visitor. Her true ministry was that of a classroom teacher. The most enduring memory she leaves is her love of Jesus Christ and her desire to share that love with all who knew her. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Dominic A. Cioffi, whom she married on July 2, 1966. Kathleen also leaves to carry forward her powerful legacy, her three daughters, Catherine Kelli Moreno of Pittsburgh, Jennifer Cioffi of Cleveland, and Gianna Cioffi of Youngstown. She also leaves three grandchildren, Kathryn Ann and Nathan Anthony, both of Pittsburgh, and Roman Alexander of Youngstown; one great-grandchild, Dominic Bernard of Pittsburgh; and her sister, Theresa (Gustav) Nemenz of North Lima. She has been blessed with numerous loving nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by both parents, John and Catherine (Macaluso) Cicchi; her brother, Anthony Cicchi; and her sister, Mary Ann Fisher. Family and friends are welcome to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home. Additionally, friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon, prior to the funeral service, on Monday, May 20, at noon at the Bridge of Hope Church in Boardman, officiated by the Rev. Cookie Centofanti.
