Obituary for Frank Mozina

Frank J. Mozina (1930-2013) Services for Frank J. Mozina, 83, of Willoughby, will be 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday before the service. Committal services and interment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in the chapel at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township. Mr. Mozina passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at his daughter''s home in Eastlake. Born March 17, 1930, in Cleveland, he had lived in Willoughby since 1966. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was also a member of Country Baptist Church in Mentor. He was an avid fisherman and Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed gardening and working around his house. Mr. Mozina was employed as a machinist at General Electric in Cleveland for 17 years. Survivors are his daughters, Brenda Ashburn of Middlefield and Elaine (Ollen) Caton of Eastlake; grandchildren, Matthew (Dara) Harmon, Timothy (Heather) Harmon, Bradley (Aprille) Caton, Polly (Steve) Magyar, DeWayne (Lisa) Sutphin, Bryan (Patty) Sutphin and Christopher Sutphin; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Marie Polaniec of Westlake; and brother, William Mozina of Cleveland. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families. His wife, Polly, passed away Feb. 22, 1997, and his daughter, Dianne Young, on Nov. 13, 1996. His parents, Frank and Josephina (Hochevar) Mozina, and sisters, Jo Kocin and Mary Ann Thomas, are also deceased. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to FuZion Church, P.O.
