Obituary for Goldie P. Bright

Goldie Mayfield Bright, 89, of Painesville, passed away April 8, 2013, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township. Goldie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. All of Goldie''s immediate family - kids, grandkids, brother, son-in-law and daughters-in-law - got to say goodbye. We should all be so fortunate. Goldie was a 1940 graduate of Masontown High School and attended Fairmount Business College. During World War II, she worked in Dayton, and later in Painesville, she worked for Jeanette Juliane. She retired from Ohio Glass after 27 years of service. Goldie is survived by her daughters, Linda (Bill) Wade and Judy Gilmore; son, Jim (Val) Bright; grandchildren, Kevin Wade, Kristi (Jay) Connors, James (Natalie) Bright, Jonathon Bright, Millicent Carroll and Ellis Stewart; great-grandchildren, Darby Darian, Delaney Connors, Kiley, Alyssa and Gavin Bright, Jacob Wade, Caleb and Taylor Bright, Ky''Airah Jayahna and Elyjah Carroll; and brother, Ray Mayfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kenneth Bright, to whom she was married for 60 years. Her brother, Gerald (Vera) Mayfield; sister, Doris (Ted) Betomey and sister-in-law, Myrtle Mayfield, are also deceased. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday The Rev. Douglas Reeder of Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church will officiate. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the services Wednesday.
