Obituary for Cornelia W Kingsley

CORNELIA W. KINGSLEY AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday at the Zion Lutheran Church for Cornelia W. Kingsley, 80, who passed away Saturday evening at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center. Cornelia was born May 30, 1932, in Youngstown, a son of the late Harold S. and Cornelia T. (Welling) Rickert Sr. She graduated from Austintown Fitch, Class of 1950 and served as class officer. She retired from Northside Medical Center as the Administrator of the Family Practice Center, and had previously worked for Dr. W.C. Reesey. Cornelia was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church and sang in the choir and was active in the Austintown PTA, serving as president. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Wilfred Ernest Kingsley, whom she married June 5, 1950; four children, Victoria (Francis) Riggle of Cortland, M. Joan Kingsley of Youngstown, Thomas (Susan) Kingsley of Boardman and R. Scott Kingsley of Austintown; one sister, Nettie Varner of Columbus; 14 grandchildren, Robert Kingsley, Jennifer (Eric) Tomocik, Dr. Megan Testa (Todd) Nelson, Heather (John) Hershberger, Paul Safarek, Kathryn (Jeremy) Brown, Kristina (Brian) Devellin, Thomas (Jenna) Watson, Justin Real, Kelly Kingsley (fiancé Kevin Flesher Sr.), Brooke Kingsley, Kerry Kingsley, Logan Watson, and Nicole Kingsley, and 17 great-grandchildren, Tori, Georgia, Bailee, Hunter, Sadie, Alexis, Jack, Brian, Mila, Breea, Ian, Trey, Abionna, Ariya, Max, Kevin Jr., and Brooklyn. Besides her parents, Cornelia was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold S. Rickert Jr. and infant Leland Rickert; and two sisters, Ruth W. Price and Anne R. Courtney. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at the Zion Lutheran Church or Easter Seals in Cornelia’s name. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and from 11 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday at church.
