Obituary for Jack Walsh
John "Jack" Walsh (1944-2013)
John ""Jack"" Walsh, 68, of Painesville, died Jan. 23, 2013, in his home surrounded by family after a lengthy battle against lung cancer.
He was born Feb. 4, 1944, in Cleveland, to the late Richard and Helen Walsh.
During his life, he worked for the Plumber''s Local Union 55 and for Dyson in Painesville. Jack was a member of the Painesville Moose Lodge 490 and an avid supporter of many charities, especially the National Wildlife Fund, the Humane Society and St. Jude Children''s Hospital.
Survivors include his children, Marge Walsh, John R. Walsh, Gordon P. Walsh, Jackie R. Shoults and Shari L. Lyons; five grandchildren, Ashley, Joey, Katie, Patrick and Mercedes; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Judy Haregsin, Joan Haagen, and Jean Walsh.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at the Painesville Elks Lodge 549. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Western Reserve
