Obituary for Darby Weber

Darby (Porter) Weber (1958-2012) Darby (Porter) Weber, 54, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at home with her family by her side. Born Oct. 15, 1958, in New Kensington, Pa., she had resided in Chardon for the past 25 years. Darby worked in the clerical department at Shiffler Equipment in Chardon for two years. Prior to that, she was assistant manager at American Powersports in Newbury. Darby was a member of Fairport Harbor Yacht Club (FHYC), where she was a past treasurer of the Women''s Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, especially at Earnst Lanes in Chardon and for the former Lake/Geauga Traveling League. She enjoyed watching "Days of Our Lives". Darby''s survivors include her husband of 30 years, Ronald J. Weber; son, Aaron Weber of Chardon; sister, Karen (Dean) Lund of Bonita Springs, Fla.; brother, James (Christine) Barr of New Kensington, Pa., brother-in-law, Steven (Michelle) Weber of Mentor; and nieces and nephews, Paige, Austin and Faith Weber, Billy, Jennifer and Christopher Bowen, Megan (Dave) Shook, and Keith and Kurtis Russell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Thelma Porter. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
