Obituary for Larry C. Pummel

Larry Craig Pummel (1944-2012) Services for Larry Craig Pummel, 68, of Wickliffe, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012. The Rev. David Hackney of Willo-Hill Baptist Church will officiate. Mr. Pummel passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby. Born Sept. 5, 1944, in Painesville, he was a longtime Lake County resident. Larry was a member of Willo-Hill Baptist Church in Willoughby and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his children and attending their activities; he also served many years as a Little League baseball/softball coach. He was an avid pool player, playing in the Wickliffe Lanes pool league. Survivors are his beloved wife of 38 years, Diana M. (LaRiccia) Pummel of Wickliffe; children, Kristin (Kyle) Joiner of Columbus, Bryan Pummel and Jacob Pummel, both of Wickliffe, Larry Pummel of Manchester, Tenn., and Michelle Formella of Shelbyville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and their families; and sisters, Roberta Fulton of Chardon and Miriam Newman of Uniontown. His mother, Kathleen G. McDonald; father, Lester L. Pummel; stepmother, Eva Pummel; sister, Judy Pummel; and brother, Thom Faith, are deceased. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
