Obituary for William K Knox

William K. Knox age 41, of Canton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. He was born on Nov. 16, 1970 in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1989 and Kent State University. William proudly served in the United Sates Navy during the Persian Gulf War as a Navy Corpsman with the Marines. He worked as a Math Teacher for McKinley High School and most recently, Cleveland Public Schools. William enjoyed sports, animals, reading, playing poker and spending time with family and friends. His favorite memory from his youth was spending time with his uncle/coach at the Seattle Seahawks training camp. He was a fun loving, kind guy with a great sense of humor. Our hearts are broken that he was taken so soon. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William J. Knox; and first cousin and friend, Scott Oliver. Survivors include his mother, Daina Wood (Wozniak); daughter, Callie Snider; two brothers, Doug Knox and John Knox; three nieces, Nicole Knox, Megan Hubbard and Madison Knox; numerous cousins, uncles and aunts. Calling hours will be held at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 11-1 p.m. with a service to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Garden.
