Obituary for Ruth Jordan Bailey
Ruth Bailey age 87 wife of the late Leslie Bailey and Ansonia resident, entered into eternal rest. November 3. She was born August 24, 1925 in Chattanooga, TN., daughter of the late Edward Mattie Moore Jordan. Ruth was an active member of The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia and was a member of The Ansonia Senior Center. She worked for UniRoyal, Read’s Dept. Store and Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Leslie Bailey of Ansonia, Jacqueline Blount of Ansonia, granddaughter Leslie C. Bailey of New Haven grandson Jeffrey Blount of Ansonia sister in law Irene Jordan of West Haven and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Curtis Jordan & sister Jessie Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at The Macedonia Baptist Church, 243 Pershing Drive, Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery . Friends may call on Saturday, at church , 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to her church. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
