Funeralservices will be 10 am Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel for Martha L. Gorby who passed away Sunday evening at her home.
Martha was born November 4, 1933 in Rimersburg, PA a daughter of the late Arthur Charles Snyder and Mildred E. Dickey Lewis.
A member of the Bethel Assembly of God, Martha retired as a nurse assistant, having worked at Sleighbell Nursing Home and Cafaro Hospital.
Martha enjoyed crocheting, was an avid bird watcher and most of all enjoyed cooking.
Her husband Robert A. Gorby, whom she married September 17, 1954 passed away November 29, 1998.
She will be sadly missed by two daughters: Catherine (Gerhard) Blaurock of Youngstown, and Bobbie (Kevin) Filer of Fairborn, OH; and four grandchildren: Robert Shafer, Brie Virden, Sarah Homan, and Joel Filer; and seven great grandchildren: Alex, Jordan, Benjamin, Anthony, Grace, McKena and Leah.
Besides her parents and husband, Martha is preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Hawk, one sister Margaret Lichtenwalner and two brothers Chuck and Bud Lewis.
Friends may call from 6 pm until 8 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
