Obituary for Ruth A Fenton

RUTH H. FENTON CANFIELD – Ruth H. Fenton, 97, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Blossom Nursing Home. Born July 28, 1915, in Homeworth, she was the daughter of Harvey and Hannah (Bauman) Hahlen. Mrs. Fenton graduated from Goshen High School in 1933, lived most of her life in the Canfield area and was of the Lutheran faith. She was the owner/operator of Fenton’s Amoco in Canfield. Survivors include her children, Ray Fenton of California, Glen (Janice) Fenton of New Baltimore, Ruby (Dan) Yeager of Berlin Center, and Elsie Wolfgang of Lisbon; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Hahlen, Florence Libb, and Vera Dearth. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Fenton, who died on Oct. 24, 1972; her daughter, Charlotte Culp; her son-in-law, Conrad Wolfgang; her great-grandson, Jacob Culp; her brother, Glenn Hahlen; and several stepbrothers. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
