Obituary for Joseph S. Zbasnik
Joseph S. ""Joe"" Zbasnik, age 86, of Mentor, died March 2, 2012, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. He was born Feb. 24, 1926, in Gates, Pa.
Mr. Zbasnik had retired as a machinist after 34 years from TRW. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, and he was a member of VFW post 1500 in Willoughby.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Catherine; children, Regina (Brian) Murkey, Patricia (Raymond) D'Amico, Joseph (Nancy) Zbasnik, Rosemary (William) Villers, John Zbasnik and Karen (Mark) Brooks; grandchildren, Natalie (Jeremy) Freed, Valerie Cunningham, Stephanie Murkey, Raymond D'Amico, Andrea D'Amico, Shawn Zbasnik, Heather (Richard) Ochocki, Katie (Donald) Heinz, John (Nicole) Villers, Emily Villers, Danielle Tomko-Brooks and Mark Brooks; great-grandchild, Mikayla Heinz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Zbasnik; sister, Mary Zbasnik; brothers, Frank and Anthony Zbasnik.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Pastor Brian Landrum will officiate at the services.
Interment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
