Harry G. Stoddard Jr., 88, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, in Conway, S.C.
Born July 24, 1923, in Massachusetts to Mildred (Winter) and Harry G. Stoddard, Sr., married Marguerite "Marge" Bezdek April 20, 1946, in Euclid.
He worked as a machinist for over 40 years and retired from the Mentor Products company.
Mr. Stoddard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He also served as a past president for the Lake County Amateur Radio Association, was a former member of the Park United Methodist Church in Madison and the Painesville Masonic Lodge.
Survivors are his sons, Gerald (Cheryl) Stoddard of Surfside Beach, S.C., and Grant (Mary) Stoddard of Geneva-on-the-Lake; grandchildren, Patricia (David), Matthew (April), Joseph, Monica (Grant), Abigail (AJ), Douglas (Heather), and Justin; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Mildred Hawk of Dallas, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. Final resting place will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
