Obituary Robert C. Schaffner (1935-2012) | Mr. Schaffner passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Madison Health Care Center. Born Jan. 31, 1935, in Meadville, Pa., he had lived in Lake County since 1972. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2300 in Willoughby. Mr. Schaffner worked in shipping and receiving. He is survived by his children, Debbie (Gary) Massey of Willowick, Tina (Glenn) Jeschelnig of Madison and Bob (Amy) Schaffner of Eastlake; grandchildren, Glenn Jr. (fiancée, Emily), Craig, Gary II, Heather, Mike, Nicole, Emily and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jayden; sister, Eleanor (Robert) Lutz of Lanse, Pa.; stepmother, Virginia Schaffner of Jefferson; and sister, Marceline of Andover. His father, Clarence Schaffner; mother, Jennie Adams; and stepfather, Robert Adams, are deceased. The Rev. Donald J. Grauer, chaplain of Breckenridge Village, will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
