Obituary for James T Geidner

JAMES 'JIM' GEIDNER YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Josephs Church in Austintown for James “Jim” Geidner, 51, who passed away Thursday evening. The son of Frank and Dorothy (Waschak) Geidner, Jim was born Jan. 5, 1960, in Youngstown. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1978. Following his graduation, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1995, Jim married his wife, Kimberly, with whom he spent 16 wonderful years of marriage. He was a carpenter by trade and continued working until spring of 2011. Jim was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, who loved his dog, Sandler and enjoyed the time he spent with his friends at “Camp If” in Pennsylvania. He was also a devoted Browns fan. Known as “G-Man” to his friends, James was faithful, a hard worker and was always there whenever someone needed help. Jim will be sadly missed by his wife, Kimberly Hilbert-Geidner and children Emily (16), Jimmy (13), and Maggie (7). He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy; one brother, Frank (Cheryl) Geidner; and three sisters, Karen (Ralph) Borer, Peggy Carkido and Janet (Tom) Crnarich; as well as his nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his friends who will miss him deeply. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Frank. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the Lane Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
