Obituary for Edward T Seivert

EDWARD THOMAS SEIVERT YOUNGSTOWN – Private services will be held at 11 a.m. at Green Haven Chapel for Edward Thomas Seivert, 86, who passed away Saturday evening at Caprice Health Care Center. Ed was born June 7, 1925, in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Elizabeth Sarsfield Seivert and had been a lifelong area resident. He worked as a carpenter for over 63 years. He was part of the CCC’s and afterwards joined the Navy. He belonged to the Carpenter’s Local No. 171, the Disabled American Veterans and was a volunteer at the Village at the Canfield Fair Grounds. His wife, Virginia K. Klings, whom he married Aug. 15, 1948, died on Oct. 10, 1996. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Dana (Barry) Brandt of Youngstown; a granddaughter, Shannon Brandt of Boardman; a brother, James Seivert of Youngstown; and two sisters, Elizabeth Reese of Fullerton, Calif. and Marion Duffy of Jackson, Mo. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Michael, Jack, George and William Seivert and a sister, Gertrude Harris. Arrangements have been handled by the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
