Obituary for Richard J Hudock

Richard John Hudock AUSTINTOWN – Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church for Richard John Hudock, formerly of Struthers, 74, who passed away early Saturday morning at the Hospice House. Rich was born Oct. 16, 1935, in Youngstown a son of the late John and Margaret (Novotny) Hudock. He graduated from Struthers High School in 1953, and Youngstown State University in 1975 with a degree in Civil Engineering. As a U.S. Army veteran, he served in Germany during the Korean War. During his career, Rich worked at Truscon Corporation, Republic Storage and Crowe Manufacturing. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and all of his boys activities. He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Jean Collins, whom he married on Nov. 11, 1961; three sons, Richard John Hudock Jr. and his wife, Renee of Rogers, Alaska, Brian James Hudock and his wife, Susan of Cumming, Ga. and Jeffrey Thomas Hudock and his wife, Mary Beth of Wadsworth; and five grandchildren, Tyler John, Trevor Rae, Samantha, Zachary and Emma Kate. Rich also leaves a sister, Ruth Grow of Struthers. His parents; two brothers, Robert and Ronald Hudock; and one sister, Rochelle Gentile, preceded him in death. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice House for their exceptional care and kindness to their husband and father.
