Obituary for Jack A Bruno

Jack Anthony Bruno, Jr. (July 9, 1958 - April 14, 2011) There will be funeral services on Monday, April 18th at 12 Noon at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Jack Anthony Bruno, Jr., also known as "Sony" who died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Cleveland Clinic, of complications from open heart surgery. Sonny was a match to donate a kidney to his sister Joanne after he recovered from surgery. Unfortunately, his kidneys were compromised and he was unable to fulfill his desire. He was a devoted brother, loving father, loyal friend, a fun uncle and great uncle, and had a sense of humor that was contagious. His passion for karaoke will always be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He was born July 9, 1958 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of the late Jack Anthony and Antoinette Altrudi Bruno, Sr. Sonny graduated from Boardman High School in 1976. He was a master carpenter and owned and operated Bruno Builders for manu years, and was a member of the Carpenters & Joiners Union Local #171. Later, he was self employed, specializing in home remodeling. He attended both Boardman Baptist Church and Victory Worship Center, where he had dedicated his life to the Lord. Sonny is survived by two sons; AJ (Anthony John), and Quinn Bruno, both of Orlando, Florida, a daughter Sunni Marie Bruno of Miami, Florida, three sisters Jackie A. (Paul) Democko, Paula M. Shields, both of Boardman and Joanne L. (Ron) George of Canfield. Friends may call Monday, April 18, 2011 from 10 to 12 Noon at Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman.
