Obituary for Richard Sheridan
RICHARD F. 'RICK' SHERIDAN
CANFIELD – Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011, at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview, Boardman for Richard F. “Rick” Sheridan, 59, who died Thursday morning at Hospice House of Poland.
Rick was born April 11, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of Richard F. and Ethel Bender Sheridan and was a lifelong area resident.
Rick graduated from Fitch High School in 1969 and had served in the Air Force Reserves for six years. He worked for Linde Gas company for 35 years, retiring in 2002. Rick was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
His wife, the former Joni Stefanick, whom he married Sept. 29, 1979, died May 30, 2002.
Besides his mother, Ethel Sheridan of Austintown, he leaves his son, Ryan Sheridan of Lakewood; a brother, Tom (Susan) Sheridan of Boardman; a sister, Jill (Chuck) Burley of Austintown; and his mother-in-law, Tillie Stefanik of Youngstown.
Besides his father and his wife, Rick was preceded in death by his daughter, Erika J. Sheridan.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
