NORTH JACKSON — Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Florence McDougal, 89, who died Saturday afternoon at Laurie Ann Nursing Home.
Florence was born Dec. 3, 1920, in North Jackson, the daughter of Wade and Maude (Burkey) Urich and was a lifelong area resident of North Jackson.
Florence retired from Packard Electric, where she worked for 30 years. She was a past officer of Retired Local 717 in Warren. She was a 1938 graduate of Jackson Milton High School and arranged many class reunions for her class of 1938.
Florence and her late husband Arnold were married April 10, 1941 and he died in August of 2000. Arnold and Florence were always there to help family and friends whenever they were needed.
She is survived by her sister, Grace McDougal of North Jackson; her nephew, Dale and Pat McDougal of Canton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold and sisters, Theo Urich, Thelma Schisler Carson and Lois McDougal.
Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family request that contributions be made to Akron Children’s Hospital in Florence’s memory.
