Obituary for Marilyn Markovich

MARILYN JANE MARKOVICH YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Marilyn Jane Markovich, 75, who passed away Monday evening at her home. Marilyn was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Youngstown, the daughter of David J. and Martha (Price) Williams. She was a graduate of Chaney High School class of 1955 and had worked for GC Murphy Company. Marilyn was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family, and her granddogs, Lucky, Zoe and Marbles. She leaves her husband, Martin Markovich, whom she married Dec. 27, 1958, she also leaves three daughters, Patty (Dan) Strong of Boardman, Judie (Greg) Barsch of Westerville and Linda (Gene) Slaven of Berlin Center; one sister, June Balint of Austintown; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Kruppa of Brookfield and Howard Crum of Austintown. Marilyn also leaves five grandchildren, Danielle, Marty, Drew, Ryan and Evan; as well as a niece, Nancy (Jerry) Ventresco and one nephew, Howard Lee Crum, both of Austintown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Crum and Betty Kruppa; and one brother, William Williams. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the service will be held at 6 p.m. “To all our family and friends, thank you for all the caring and support you have shown.
