Karen Carothers
GIRARD – Karen Carothers, 59, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Guardian Health Care Center.
She was born May 10, 1951, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Lillian E. Novy Wagner.
Karen worked from her residence as a Medical Transcriptionist for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and eBay.
She leaves her two sons, Johnny C. Carothers (Viktoria) of Girard and Jason C. Carothers (Sarah) of Girard and a sister, Nancy A. (Roger) Beatty of Youngstown. Karen will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, and dog, Tippy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at 5 p.m. at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, with visitation from 3 to 5 p.m.
Interment will be held at Greenhaven Cemetery in Canfield.
The family request in lieu of flowers, that a material contribution be made to the American Cancer Society.
