Obituary for Joseph C Kramer

Joseph C. Kramer CANFIELD – Joseph C. Kramer, 84, formerly of Warren, passed away at 7:14 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, in his home. Mr. Kramer was born July 8, 1925 in Youngstown, the son of the late Charles F. and Flora B. (Bowser) Kramer. Joe was a disabled veteran of World War II, having been wounded at Aachen, Germany. He was a lifetime member of the DAV. He enjoyed working around the house and was known as the “handyman” in the family. Joe was a devoted family man and will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Phyllis J. Felton, whom he married on March 16, 1945; two sons, Thomas E. (Peggy J.) Kramer of Kent and Charles L. (Janet M.) Kramer of Struthers; two brothers, Donald C. (Judy) Kramer of Niles and William W. Kramer of Niles; a sister, Donna (Andy) Petrick of Warren; five grandchildren, Patrick T. (Sandra) Kramer, Erin (T.J.) Mancuso, Bradley M. Kramer, Jordan C. Kramer and Aaron Mrvelj; and four great-grandchildren, Clayton, Carson and Claire Kramer and Ava Mancuso. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and extended family, including Nancy, Jerry (Margie), Marge and Pat Felton. Besides his parents, Mr. Kramer was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Ed Kramer and by two sisters, Jane Edwards Moses and Alma Ricks Fritz. A funeral service will take place on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel where friends may call from noon until the hour of service in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society 525 N. Broad Street, Canfield, OH 44406 or to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.
