Obituary for John F Sr. Seeger

John F. Seeger, Sr., age 84 passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at St. Elizabeth''s Hospital Medical Center, Boardman Campus.

John was born September 2, 1929 in Youngstown to parents, John and Anna (Kreidler) Seeger.

John served his country proudly in the United States Army and married Dorothy Fennell. They resided on the city''s Westside their entire life. Dorothy passed away March 22, 2001.

John was a self employed craftsman and carpenter, building homes in the area. He also worked for Don Walter''s Kitchen and Bath, retiring in 2007. He was an avid Hot Rod Fan and enjoyed going to all the car shows.

Survivors include his daughter; Nancy (Randy) Turek, OK., step-daughter; Patricia Johnson, Youngstown, step-sons; Harry (Patty) Johnson, Lakewood, Bruce (Maggie) Streb, Boardman, Kenneth Streb, Youngstown, grandchildren; Erika, Matthew, Christopher, Karrie, Jamie, Alan, Shannon and Kelly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and son John F. Seeger, Jr.

A memorial service will take place at 11am, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
