Obituary for Elizabeth Brott

Elizabeth J. Brott BOARDMAN - Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Aug. 31, 2010, at the Thompson Funeral Home for Elizabeth J. Brott, 81, who passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at her residence. She was born May 3, 1929, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Lee and Ethel Booth Elmes. Elizabeth, known as “Betty” was a graduate of South High School and a member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church. Before retiring in 1992, she was a cashier for Loblaws and then Value King. She had a passion for sewing and loved to quilt and crochet. She is survived by her son, James M. Richard Jr.; a daughter, Heather Richard; and adopted daughter, Vicci Polish, all of Boardman; one brother, Roy Elmes of California; a sister, Martha Rodgers of Youngstown; and two great-granddaughters, Aeva and Celesta Richard. Betty also leaves her cherished cats, Zoe and Megan and a grand kitty, Sadie. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Brott, whom she married in 1991 and died October 1997; a daughter, Saundra Lee Richard; and two brothers, William and James Elmes.
