Obituary for Carol A Eckenrode

 

Carol A. Eckenrode of Warren, Ohio entered peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at 10:10pm at the St. Joseph’s Health Care center in Warren following a lengthy illness, she was 73. Carol was born the daughter of the late Lawrence  and Anna (Hornuing) Delisle on August 19, 1940 in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania and had resided in the area since 1945, formerly of Newton Falls, Ohio. She was a 1958 graduate of Newton Falls High and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Warren. Carol was active with the Sunday School Class at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls for many years and was a homemaker. She was secretary of the Newton Falls Sportsman Club for over 30 years and was past president of the Newton Falls Crescendo Club. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, baby sitting and   word puzzles
On June 11, 1960, Carol was united into marriage with Leonard W. Eckenrode and had shared 34 years together. Her memories will be remembered and cherished by those she leaves behind, son, William L. Eckenrode and a daughter, Lisa M. Eckenrode both of Warren, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Shirley English, a brother, Lawrence” Denny” Delisle.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 10:30am, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Warren, Ohio, where the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Canfield, Ohio.
