Obituary for HUBERT LEROY HILD
Hubert L. Hild, 82, of Matthews, N.C., formerly of Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Thursday at a Charlotte, N.C., hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Garwin, Mr. Hild lived in Des Moines 70 years and was a resident of North Carolina since 1983. He was a retired field auditor for the state of Iowa and was a member of Elks Lodge 98, Home Lodge 370, Scottish Rite Temple and the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice; one son, Jack Canon of Charlotte and three sisters, Vivian Bennett and Frances Blake, both of Gulfport, Fla., and Dorothy Illian of Rockford, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner Crippled Children''s Hospital.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton''s.
