Obituary for MICHAEL A EASTMAN
Michael A. Eastman, 27, of Grimes died Tuesday in Ankeny of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The death was ruled a suicide. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Eastman was born in Des Moines and moved to Grimes three months ago after living in Ankeny most of his life. He was a carpenter for Randy Eastman Construction and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his father, Donald, and his mother, Diane Eastman, both of Ankeny; a brother, Randy of Dallas Center; and a daughter, Brooklyn Eastman, a sister, Julie Eastman, and his grandmothers, Alice Sherwood and Dorothy Eastman, all of Des Moines.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
