Obituary for PAUL E CURRAN JR

Paul E. Curran, Jr., 55, of 5405 SW Nineteenth St. died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Northwest Community Hospital after an illness of several years.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Curran, operator of Curran Floor Co. was born in Huntington, IN and had lived in Des Moines about 50 years.

He was a member of Acanthus Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Consistory, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, Des Moines Izaak Walton League, Pioneer Gun Club, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are his wife, Kathern; three daughters, Mrs. Susan Fry of Humeston and Mrs. Christine Canfield and Mar Lou Curran, both of Ankeny; two sons, Steven of Fremont, CA, and Daniel, in the US Navy; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Rilla Riccio and Mrs. Cassidy Whitlatch, and two sisters, Mrs. James Ricketts and Mrs. William Spohn, and his mother, Mrs. Edith M. Curran, all of Des Moines, and nine grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Iowa Heart Association.
