Obituary for WILLIAM IVAL PARKER
William "Buck" Parker, 76, of 3712 SW Eighth St., died of complications of emphysema Friday at home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was born in Des Moines and lived here all his life. He was a retired truck driver with Burlington Freight, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Teamsters and Volunteer Police Auxiliary.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; a daughter, Barb Burns of Pleasantville; two sisters, Bonnie Lesley of Maxwell and Evelyn Whalen of Texas; a brother, Merle Parker of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m.
