Obituary for KENNETH RAY DRABEK
Kenneth Ray Drabek, 61, went home to be with his Lord Tuesday, January 17, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, January 21, 2006 at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Ken was born September 27, 1944 in Des Moines. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam era and a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross. He enjoyed playing cards and golfing, but above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Drabek of Des Moines; daughter, Pamela Last; sons, Ken Drabek, Jr. and his wife, Rachelle, and Rick Drabek and his wife, Claire, all of Altoona; grandchildren, Bailee Last, Matthew Last, Ashley Drabek, Timothy Drabek, Tanner Drabek, and Declan Drabek; brother, Gary Drabek of CO; and sister, Carol Ellenwood of Indianola.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Lutheran Church of the Cross. Hamilton''s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
