Obituary for GLEN W OLSEN
Glen W. "Ole" Olsen, 70, of 677 Ronwood Dr.,died Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center following a heart attack. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westkirk Evangelical Presbyterian Church. A private family burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Olsen, a native of Cedar Falls, lived in Waterloo before moving to Des Moines in 1960. He was a retired sales manager for Sears and at the time of his death was a real estate sales agent with Iowa Realty Co. He was a member of the Danish brotherhood and Westkirk Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, J.D. of Phoenix, AZ, and Kevin of Des Moines; a daughter, Susan Grundmeier of Urbandale; a brother, Kenneth of Bellflower, CA; and four grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Heart Center or his church.
