Obituary for EDWARD MATTHEW HAGMAN
Edward M. Hagman, 69, of 935 NE 51st Ave., died of a heart ailment Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saylorville Baptist Church of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hagman was born in Des Moines and had lived there all his life. He was a retired pressman at Meredith and Wright Printing, a member of Graphic Communciation International Union, a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and the 1951-52 Middleweight Boxing Champion of the Armed Forces and Alaska.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; a son, Daniel of Des Moines; a daughter, Cynthia Hagman of Des Moines; a brother, Robert of Copper Canyon, TX; and four grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
