Obituary for HAROLD CALVIN CHAPMAN
Harold C. Chapman, 98, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He was born July 20, 1912, in Redfield, Iowa, to Charles and Nellie (Hodson) Chapman.
He was a member of Glen Echo Christian Church and the Johnston Senior Center. Harold was a lifelong bowler until his retirement.
Harold is survived by his wife, LaRay Chapman; daughter, Dorothy Chapman (Sydney Wolinsky); grandson, Charles Wolinsky; sister, Velma Plaine; four stepchildren, Kevin Belz, Kristy (Darrell) Hennings, Kendall (Sandy) Belz, and Kelly Belz; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2011, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
