Obituary for WONEVIA DELIGHT PENNEY
Wonevia Penney, 73, died Friday, December 03, 2010, at Madrid Home. She was born November 10, 1937, in Des Moines to Dwight and Dorothy Hinman.
Wonevia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister with a bubbly personality and a keen sense of humor.
Wonevia is survived by her children, Shawn (Raleigh) Thomas, Steve Stone, Rick Penney-Tulk, Roy (Heidi) Penney and Eric (Nhot) Penney; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Teddy, David, Carolyn, Clifford, Kathryn, Ed and Howard. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Friday, December 10, 2010, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will visit with friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
