Obituary for LAVONNE MARIE STURTEVANT
LaVonne Marie Sturtevant, the eldest daughter of Velma and Lloyd Bowman went on to be with her mother and sister the morning of August 19, 2009.
LaVonne lived most of her life in Des Moines but, spent several years in Straftord and Boone. She was a strong, amazing woman with a never quit drive. LaVonne worked many jobs over the years to support her family as well as attended college at DMACC where she was a member of PSI BETA.
She will be missed by her four children, Charlie Easter, Cynthia Taylor, Dean Sturtevant and DeAnna Herrington; her beloved granddaughter, Michelle Taylor; father, Lloyd Bowman; and many other extended family members and friends.
A celebration of her life potluck will be held at Westchester Evangelical Free Church Monday, August 24, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome. Please bring a dish to share.
