Obituary for CARL OSCAR CARLSON
Services for C. Oscar Carlson, 88, of 2122 E Twelth St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Carlson died of cancer Tuesday at Medicenters of America, 233 University Ave., after a six-week illness.
A lifelong resident of Des Moines, he was a retired hotel engineer and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 268.
Surviving are two sons, Clarence O. and Rudolph H.; two daughters, Mrs. Clara McCluskey and Mrs. Bernice Rollins; two brothers, Martin and Henry, and a sister, Mrs. Ann Van Dyke, all of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
